The Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir celebrates 45 years, having started as the choral adjunct to the Bournemouth Sinfonietta which itself was the chamber orchestra offshoot of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. It is now thriving, independent and self governing. The choir relies heavily on the commitment as well as the talents of its members who travel from Hampshire and Wiltshire as well as from across Dorset to rehearse in Blandford.
David Gostick the Director of the choir, is Organist and Master of Choristers of Wimborne Minster and has a wide ranging career as conductor and repetiteur, notably working with the Portsmouth Choral Union, Co-Opera Co and Dorset Opera.
Graham Scott, the choir’s official accompanist, will be the organist.
There will be a short recital after the service, a delightful programme of French chansons.
