Born in Edinburgh, Yuanfan began learning the piano when he was 6, passed his Grade 8 with distinction at the age of 8 and achieved a Diploma of the ABRSM when he was 10. He is a First Class Graduate of both the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music.
Yuanfan recently became the 1st Prize and Audience Prize winner of the prestigious Casagrande International Piano Competition and has won a host of other prizes for composition and improvisation in addition to playing.
We are privileged to experience all aspects of this young man’s musical artistry in this exciting recital.
