Praised for his “astounding virtuosity” , American double bassist Levi Andreassen is a sought-after soloist and chamber musician, driven by his desire to push the limits of his instrument.
This is actually his second visit to the Festival – he came with his fellow students from the Yehudi Menuhin School in a very memorable coffee concert. Since then he has already established himself as a bassist to watch! He plays music you may well recognise but you will be amazed at how versatile this huge instrument can be in such masterful hands.
Pianist Alessio Enea completed his degree with honors by the age of 17 and pursued a Master’s in Music Performance at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland. With a scholarship to the Royal College of Music in London, he completed his Master’s and PhD in performance, specializing in Collaborative Piano. Throughout his career, he has performed in numerous venues Switzerland, Germany, London, Italy – and now Beaminster.
