It is an immense privilege to be able to welcome Raphael Wallfisch, the internationally celebrated cellist at the height of his powers with his masterful technique and soaring, singing sound. His first visit to Beaminster sees him perform with his duo partner of nearly 40 years, John York. Performed at the Wigmore Hall a few months ago, this characteristically varied programme, full to the brim with melody, concludes with the utterly heart-rending Brahms Cello Sonata No 1.
